Contemporary Diplomatics: Old Uses for a New Science – guest lecture with Luciana Duranti

Guest lecture with Luciana Duranti on how AI can contribute to and be used in archival and records management.

In connection with Luciana Duranti's visit to Norway, she will be giving a guest lecture for students in Archival Science.

Duranti is a professor emerita at the University of British Columbia and is best known for developing the archival theory of Diplomatics for ensuring the security of electronically created documentation.

For over 25 years, she has led the research project InTerPARES (International Research on Permanent Authentic Records in Electronic Systems), with the current phase focusing on how AI can contribute to and be used in archival and records management.

The guest lecture is also part of this spring's Forum for Archives and Documentation.
