Every year, around 12,000 Norwegians have a stroke. Research fellow Solbakken has good advice for those affected.
The Bridge-building Initiative at the Faculty of Health Sciences aims to establish closer connections between research, education, and clinical practice. By identifying the needs of users, we ensure that research and education are relevant and beneficial to society.
The Faculty of Health Sciences seeks to promote user involvement in research and involve users at all stages of the research process. Through needs-led research, users in a broad sense actively participate in the process of identifying and prioritizing research topics.
Through the faculty's commitment to needs-led research, we develop methods for identifying needs and build experience among our PhD candidates and researchers regarding research prioritization: what are the needs of the users, and does it represent a genuine knowledge gap?
The Bridge-Building Initiative encompasses several projects, all based on the principles of needs-led research.
