As a professor in ethics at the Centre for the Study of Professions since 2003, Harald Grimen made outstanding contributions in both philosophy and social science.
His work was pivotal developing professional studies as a research field in the Nordic countries and continues to influence different researchers at our center.
With his early passing in 2011, Norwegian academia lost a great researcher and excellent teacher.
In his memory, the Centre for the Study of Professions proudly hosts an annual lecture series reflecting Harald’s broad range of interests. These lectures are delivered by distinguished social scientists and philosophers from around the world, each bringing valuable perspectives and insights.
