Our aim is a sophisticated understanding of academic writing cultures and nuanced, effective strategies for writing and writer development. To this end, we examine and promote ways in which language support and pedagogical interventions can improve confidence, skill and learning in both academic and working life.
Contributing to the fields of language, writing and learning development, our research highlights the educational, professional, institutional, cultural and political prerequisites for successful academic development at all levels – from first year undergraduate work to PhD level and beyond.
