Cultural Diversity and Multilingualism in a Global Perspective

The group consists of participants with different and varied perspectives on diversity in kindergarten and school: linguistic, cultural, religious and aesthetic. Research interests range from translanguaging to internationalization, whiteness and racism.

Challenges and possibilities in the Norwegian education sector are tied to globalization and migration. Thus, it is important to investigate cultural diversity and multilingualism in both local and global perspectives. Internationalization is an important part of our profile and involves questions concerning educational system in the global south. 

This research group aims to contribute with research-based knowledge about cultural diversity and multilingualism and are visible mediators in the public society debate.
