Our project investigates the tensions between Nordic openness and security that characterize surveillance practices at the Nordic borders, with a particular focus on new forms and tools of digital surveillance.
DiNoBord is a research group that focuses on unpacking the contention between openness & security in the Nordic Region by looking at digital public surveillance practices at three state borders.
We are a collaboration of 12 researchers within seven different disciplines in three countries at four universities.
Professor Bengt Andersen at the Work Research Institute, OsloMet, leads the Norwegian part of the project.
