An evaluation of the pilot project: Integrated accommodation for women, men and children at Romerike crisis center.
Previous research has documented that separate accommodation for women and men in the crisis centres has led to quality differences in the provision of services.
Romerike crisis center has initiated a pilot project on integrated accommodation for women and men and children in the centre. The purpose of the evaluation is to investigate whether integrated accommodation leads to a more equal provision of services for women, men and children at the crisis centre.
We examine how the integrated provision is organized, and what integrated accommodation means in practice. From a user perspective, we examine to which extent women, men and children are taken care of in an equal manner when it comes to accessibility, safety and security, and access to other services.
The empirical material consists of interviews and observation data, as well as analysis of preparatory legislative works and crisis centre statistics.
The evaluation will provide key knowledge on whether integrated accommodation for women, men and children can lead to equality in the provision of services within the crisis centres.
