Evaluation of minority counsellor pilot projects in upper secondary schools and adult learning centres

NOVA researchers will evaluate two pilot projects placing minority counsellors in secondary schools in vulnerable urban areas and adult learning centres.

The research project will examine whether extensions of the minority counselling scheme contribute "to more children and young people who are at risk of or exposed to, negative social control, honour-related violence, forced marriage and female genital mutilation receiving help" (cf. Mandate).

The researchers will also investigate whether the Mandate and goals of minority counsellors reflect the challenges that minority counsellors face in their work at upper secondary schools and adult learning centres.
