In this course, you will work on innovation and professional development through the development of a project and plan an occupational therapy intervention for people in vulnerable situations, focusing on public health and social inequality in health.

Course description
In a globalised society in a world that is constantly changing, occupational therapists need competence to think in new ways and develop the discipline in line with society’s needs. Occupational therapists must be equipped to work with people’s health and opportunity for participation, both locally and globally.
Upon completing the course, you will have knowledge of occupational therapy in public health, the influence of national and global health challenges on occupational justice, and the role of innovation in occupational therapy.
You will develop skills in reflecting on the relationship between health and various life conditions, using innovation tools related to global health, applying empowering strategies, and comparing public health perspectives from different countries.

Exam
An individual project examination in the form of an assignment that is developed during the course.
Grading scale: A-F.
