This course provides a more in depth look at the materials used in prostheses and orthoses. This includes the materials' mechanical properties and the mechanical design of prostheses and orthoses. In this course we focus on the innovative ways of producing prosthetics and orthotics devices and therefore, students will learn about 3D scanning and 3D printing.
Admission requirements
You must have passed at least one year or more in a study programme within the field of prosthetics and orthotics or similar. Exceptions may be made for students with other relevant experience and a particular interest in the subject.
