For exchange students

In this course, you will learn basic economics, statistics and accounting in order to do investigative journalism on economic issues and finance. Using companies as cases, you will learn to reflect critically on economics and analyse financial statements.

Admission requirements

This course is open to bachelor's degree students in journalism and media studies, in addition to economics and finance. Course start presupposes a minimum of ten students.

How to apply

International exchange students select courses when applying for exchange.

Application deadline: 15 April.

Teaching methods

The course is organised in intensive gatherings over a period of about one month. The gatherings consist of:

  • lectures
  • workshops
  • group presentations
  • discussions

Costs

There is no semester fee for exchange students.

Exam and assessment

Participation during class sessions is mandatory. Students who have over 25 per cent absence will not be qualified to take the exam. In addition, three assignments must be delivered and approved before you can take the exam.

The exam is an analytical paper of 6-8 pages.
