Course description

KD2000 Entrepreneurship in Art and Design, 10 ECTS

The course employs a wide definition of entrepreneurship that includes personal development, creativity, self-reliance, initiative taking and action orientation, i.e. becoming entrepreneurial. The course aims to introduce students to practical entrepreneurship through an action-based approach to value creation. Students will work in teams to solve real-life challenges.

The course is a common course for the programme options Art and Dissemination and Fashion and Industry. It introduces business knowledge, innovation and project management in development processes relating to creative work.

KDK2110 Art, Space and Dissemination, 20 ECTS

The course focuses on the development of students’ practical-aesthetic, dissemination and theoretical skills. Practical-aesthetic work is combined with art and dissemination theory and practical dissemination. The course emphazises art and dissemination in a broad societal perspective in which the understanding of space and context plays a central role. The course is organized in the form of two projects and concludes with an exam.

Project 1: Art, Space and Installation (individual work). The project emphasizes the relationship between concept, context and material. The student will develop critical awareness of their own artistic expression. The practical-aesthetic elements play a key role in this project. The project includes a basic introduction to materials and environmental issues.

Project 2: Dissemination of contemporary art to specific target groups (group work). The project focuses on dissemination of contemporary art. In this project, the students will work on dissemination in relation to specific target groups. The project includes one week of practical training.

Costs

There is no semester fee for exchange students.

It is recommended to have access to Adobe on your own computer.
