Do you have an assignment you’d like master's students to tackle?

A master's thesis is a small research project that all master's students at OsloMet carry out. The topic of the master's thesis is optional, and your research question may be what a student wants to investigate.

Intelligent Health at OsloMet wants to strengthen collaboration with the private and public sector. Master's thesis collaboration leads students to solving society's real challenges and involves private and public sector in education.

About the process

  • You can submit the description of the project throughout the year, the projects will be assessed and distributed on an ongoing basis. The start date will vary depending on different study programs and interests.
  • We will go through the description you submit and send it to the relevant course coordinators at OsloMet.
  • The contact person from OsloMet will contact your appointed contact person. You will go through the description and get relevant input on your project in a meeting.
  • Together with the contact person from OsloMet, you will decide on the process ahead.

What is suitable as a master's thesis?

  • The master's thesis should not be part of normal operations of your enterprise.
  • There should be no rush to solve the project, it can take months and years before the master's thesis is completed.

Requirements

We set some requirements for the company for the completion of the master's thesis to go as smoothly as possible.

  • Some fields of study require you to provide a main supervisor with a PhD.
  • We need to know how many bi-guidance hours you have available.
  • If there are any expenses that come with the thesis, the company is responsible for this.

OsloMet’s role

  • We will put you in touch with the course coordinator and arrange for you to get in touch with students.
  • Students can use equipment available at OsloMet.

Present your project

We invite you to a physical event twice a year. At this event, you will have the opportunity to present the project to students at OsloMet.

Companies that have submitted the description are invited. Students in relevant master's programs and the course coordinator are also invited. Our goal is for you to get in touch with students who have an interest in your field.
