Care orders from a parental perspective

The main purpose of this study is to develop knowledge about child welfare care orders.

The parents' knowledge and experiences are important for understanding how we can provide better help to these families. Both to prevent care orders, but also to develop knowledge about how to take care of the child in the best possible way when a care order is unavoidable.

From a research perspective, we know little about these parents and their own descriptions of themselves and their parenthood, what they think about the reasons for the care order, and their perspective on the child welfare service's practice.

The central issue in the project is: How do parents assess and understand a care order?
