Erasmus+: Let's Become Inspirers and Architects of a Sustainable School (KA122-SCH)

The project targets challenges in the school environment and aims to foster inclusive teaching practices by developing "green skills".

The KA122-SCH project aims to address critical challenges in the educational environment of the applicant school, located in a socio-economically diverse area of Attica, Greece.

Additionally, the program aims to improve the English language skills of students and teachers to facilitate broader engagement in European education and cultural exchanges.

Activities involve professional training for teachers and international student mobility programs, which collectively aim to improve the educational quality, foster sustainability, and build a collaborative and inclusive school environment.

More about the project

The applicant school in Attica, Greece has a diverse student body, including those with special educational needs and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and aims to reduce educational disparities and school dropouts. 

Project objectives

A primary focus is on implementing inclusive practices by learning from European schools that excel in differentiated instruction and innovative teaching strategies. The project has several goals:

  • To instil "green skills" for environmental sustainability among students and staff, addressing the region's environmental degradation and raising awareness about climate change and sustainable living.
  • Integrate eco-friendly behaviors and projects within the school community through collaboration with "green schools" in Europe.
  • Promotes experiential and non-formal learning methods to enhance students’ critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and motivation for learning, preparing them to face future challenges.
  • Improve English proficiency among students and educators to support effective communication and collaboration in European educational contexts.
  • Training mainstream primary teachers using the project’s dynamic online platform and overall educational material in mainstream primary classrooms.

The project involves training courses for teachers and international mobility programs for students, with measurable outcomes to ensure its success in fostering inclusivity, sustainability, and educational innovation.
