Practical placement in the Global South

The purpose of the project is to enhance practical placement in the Global South to achieve a more stable and permanently increased number of students, based on a more quality-assured collaboration with the Global South.

The purpose of the project practical placement in the global south at GFU is:

Our department needs a closer partnership with the actors at the universities and practice schools in the global south. We have implemented actions to strengthen this partnership through virtual collaboration and physical meetings, primarily linked to GFU staff's practice follow-up in the global south.

Furthermore, partners in the south will participate in two physical conferences in the north during the project period. Mutual employee mobility during the project period aims to increase the quality of the practical placement and the students' benefit from the internship in the global south.

We will achieve institutionalization and sustainability of the partnership with a practical placement model that is being developed in the global south, with an increased degree of virtual collaboration in the partnership with the host university and the partner schools after the project has ended.

We will evaluate the development work throughout the project period.
