This project will establish a young user-involvement group at the Centre for Intelligent Musculoskeletal Health (CIM).
User involvement in development and research projects is a mandatory part of medical and health research.
At the Center for Intelligent Musculoskeletal Health (CIM), we have established a user involvement group consisting of youth and young adults (16-29 years old) experiencing pain with or without mental health issues.
The purpose of this group is to engage users in all phases of our ongoing and new research projects targeting adolescents and young adults, ensuring that our research is meaningful and relevant to this age group.
Adolescents and young adults constitute a vulnerable group that can be challenging to engage, especially over time. By not involving users in this age group there is a risk of conducting projects with little significance and relevance for youth.
